Bad Austen

So you want me to write an Austen
A bad Austen
Well here it is
It is so bad it is unrecognizable
That's the beauty of it
I am writing this without compromising my own style
It's the worst Austen you have ever seen
And it may not win some fancy prize
Or a page in a book
But you'll remember it
Because it was positively
The worst Austen you ever laid eyes on
And not an Austen at all
Because I am not Austen
And perhaps that is the last laugh
In a Divine Comedy
Because this could never be an Austen
No matter how hard we try
We aren't Austen
Because what the world needs
Was never another Austen
But individuals
Each of us with our own style
