You there with the perfect golden sheen
You could be an angel
Don't you wish you could just
Fly away
You there with the glossy pink
And pouty lips
Please be who you want to be
And don't shy away
Because you are beautiful.
Don't let anyone tell you different.
You are beautiful.
Everyday in every way
And what's more.
Your smile and your eyes
Are light sunbeams
Shining down upon me
You whole heart is what
Gives me hope
You there with the glossy pink
And pouty lips
With the perfect golden sheen
You could be an angel!

We Prefer Not to Know
There is a dark place
In all of our souls
A place that few go
Always present
Just below the surface
Until it bubbles, boils, explodes
Sometimes when you try to find yourself
You find something else
Sometimes in the search for happiness
You discover things
That make you want to hide away
But just know
Consciousness
Doesn't mean we are not animals
There is no light without the dark
Turn your face from the light
See the things that hide in shadows
Know that hole inside your heart
Was meant to hold them
In all of our souls
A place that few go
Always present
Just below the surface
Until it bubbles, boils, explodes
Sometimes when you try to find yourself
You find something else
Sometimes in the search for happiness
You discover things
That make you want to hide away
But just know
Consciousness
Doesn't mean we are not animals
There is no light without the dark
Turn your face from the light
See the things that hide in shadows
Know that hole inside your heart
Was meant to hold them

Sun-kissed
Where am I?
Lost soul floating on the wind.
Thought I saw diamonds
In rosy sunsets
Drifted towards the light
But found it was unreachable.
Reflected in waves,
I glimpsed a sliver of truth
Tried to grasp it
But the water slipped from my hands
Leaving only a faint memory
As the evening heat
Kissed my skin dry.
Lost soul floating on the wind.
Thought I saw diamonds
In rosy sunsets
Drifted towards the light
But found it was unreachable.
Reflected in waves,
I glimpsed a sliver of truth
Tried to grasp it
But the water slipped from my hands
Leaving only a faint memory
As the evening heat
Kissed my skin dry.
